British Blues


This herd was dispersed in 2008 , so as to be able to concentrate on the Lincoln Red herd. Ten or so x bred Lincoln Red cows will still be used for breeding Christmas show cattle.


Hartley Columbus, an ET son of the famous show bull Wilodge Ulex, is the new British Blue stock bull at Hemingby. He cost 5000 gns at Carlisle in May 2009.


2 promising calves by Hillside Anacleto, the bull calf is out of a British Blue x Lincoln Red and the heifer out of a British Blue x Lincoln Red, both Feb born.


Belinda , by Vigor Van Daisel , and out of a British Blue x Lincoln Red cow . Champion Unhaltered beast at the Louth Annual Christmas show on 6/12/2007 .At just over 20 months old she weighed 566 kgs, making 190p a kilo, to gross £1070 .
Camilla , another identically bred heifer , was bred and fed champion in the halter tied section at Newark Christmas show on 10th December 2008 . She weighed 599 kgs @ 21 m , making 265p kg , to gross £1587 . She killed out at 67% as an E3.
